Transcription

My Uncle Toby swore an oath, - and when
The busy Angel with the book and pen
Made haste to enter it, his Heav’nly grief
Blotted the word from the virgin leaf.

I swore an oath, - that I would never rhyme
In any album, to the end of Time.
I wish the Angel of this book would blot
my oath’s infraction, from the present spot!
